6 meter REPEATER. In a joint venture with the Westlakes Amateur Radio Club a new 6 meter repeater will soon be on the air. Transmit site will be the TV NBN site at Mt Sugarloaf and the receive site will be Heaton Lookout where all of the other Westlakes repeaters are located. The frequency is the same as the original as per the WIA register of 6 meter repeaters for Newcastle. Hopefully by the end of March the repeater should be pretty close to be up and running. So get your 6 meter ready. The 6 meter transmitter has now been located at Mt Sugarloaf. The receiver and interface are been worked on at the moment.

At last meeting the group had its AGM. Re elected as President was Richard Osborne – VK2AUS. Re elected as Treasurer was Leigh VK2KAL . The group needs a secretary, education officer. Are you that person who can do that job? Contact Richard
